Which products do you install or recycle and how much does it cost?
In England, Scotland and Wales, we are offering our installation and recycling service on our dishwashers, washing machines, washer dryers and freestanding cookers. You'll be able to select this option when you add the item to your trolley. We can now also take away and recycle your old mattress when we deliver your new one. If you are self-isolating, please make us aware so we can rearrange your delivery.
For customers in Northern Ireland, our large item delivery service for most of our washing machines, dryers, fridges, freezers and cookers is temporarily unavailable. Click here for more information.

Recycling, installation and disconnection of old appliance
We offer a 'Recycling only' service - when we deliver your new item, we'll take your old one away for you. For an additional cost, we'll also disconnect your old one and install your new one.
These services are available on the following types of products:
Recycling and installation only (not disconnection of old appliance)
We can recycle and install any of the products listed below, removing any excess packaging in the process.
However, for old freestanding appliances that involve some kind of water, we'll need you to disconnect and empty them of water before we can take them away for recycling (yes, including defrosting if it's a freezer!).
Mattress recycling
If you opted to have your old mattress recycled, our delivery drivers will take it away when they deliver your new one. To purchase mattress recycling, you can search 'mattress recycling' in the main search bar. Unfortunately, mattress recycling isn't available for rolled mattresses (fulfilled by our Small Item Delivery Service).
Recycling electronic items in-store:
From Friday 1 January 2021, if you have an old electronic item bring it into store and we can safely recycle, refurbish or resell these items for free, with the following guidelines:
- Our store must sell a similar item to the one you're recycling.
- You have purchased a replacement item from us within the last 28 days.
- You can provide proof of purchase.
- Only one item can be exchanged when purchasing a new one.
- Electrical equipment that has a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol can be recycled.
- If your old product doesn't have this symbol, we'll still accept it as part of an equivalent purchase and arrange for it to be recycled, re-used or resold to the best of our ability.
By recycling electrical and electronic equipment and diverting it from landfill, you're helping prevent the lead and the other harmful toxins they contain from polluting the soil and water. These toxins are harmful to our environment, wildlife and also detrimental to human health. This service is being offered in accordance with The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (2013).
