What do I need to know about Electrical Product Care?

Once you get your Argos stuff home, you can enjoy using it more knowing it's covered by Argos Electrical Product Care, provided by Domestic & General.

Here at Argos, we know that sometimes life just happens... which is why, with Argos Electrical Product Care, we'll fix or replace your item even if it's broken by accident. And once your standard manufacturer's guarantee ends, we'll cover faults and breakdowns (provided the policy remains in force). Now that's peace of mind.

With selected products, you'll pay an excess if your new item is over £149.99, but the cost of the excess varies depending on the purchase price. See the full list of categories that have excess applied and also the excess table below for details:

HOW DO I BUY ARGOS CARE?

We sell Argos Care at the same time you buy your Argos product. When shopping online, you'll see the product insurance options when you add your item to trolley. Alternatively, you can purchase Argos Care at your nearest store. If you've got something from Argos but not quite sure if you want product insurance, you've got 45 days from when you bought it to add Argos Care. Just pop into store with your receipt and one of our colleagues will get it sorted for you. Your product will be covered right away. Phew that's a relief.

What's Covered?

  • Accidental damage cover – from the moment you get your product
  • Breakdown cover – after the manufacturer's guarantee ends (provided the policy remains in force)
  • Unlimited repairs – you can request as many repairs as you need
    (an excess may apply)
  • Worldwide cover – your products are covered wherever you are (claims will be settled in the UK)

What's not Covered?

  • Loss, theft, installation costs and cosmetic damage. For selected items
    over £149.99 (and mobile phones over £100) an excess will apply when
    making a claim (excesses range from £10 to £100). Please see the pricing tables in the leaflet for details.
