If you change your mind and no longer want the product(s), you can return them within the terms and conditions of our 30 day money back guarantee. The refund amount will be credited to your Argos Monthly Payment Plan account. We will amend or cancel your Direct Debit when processing your refund. You will receive confirmation of the new Direct Debit amount / cancellation in the post within 10 working days.
Please don't cancel your Direct Debit. You need to keep making payments until your refund is actioned or you may miss a payment and incur late payment charges or fees. This could also impact your credit rating meaning you could find it harder to get credit in the future. Check your credit agreement for more details on this.
We are unable to exchange your product if you would like a different item, however, if it is faulty we can offer you a full refund or a replacement for a product of the same catalogue number, subject to stock availability in the store and our returns policy.
A refund can take up to 5 working days to process, If you are still waiting for a refund after this, you should contact us on 0345 600 2317.
If you return part of your order, we'll automatically reduce the amount of your repayments. We'll write to you to tell you when this has been done and what your new Direct Debit payments will be. You'll need to continue to make your same contractual monthly payments until we have confirmed your new payment amount.
If you request a refund after a Direct Debit payment has already been made, we will recalculate any remaining repayments or refunds and make the necessary adjustments to your Argos Monthly Payment Plan account. Any additional payment that takes you over the amount of the Monthly Payment Plan balance, would be refunded back to you. In some cases, we may keep your Direct Debit amount the same to clear your balance early. We will contact you separately in these cases. Direct Debits are requested from your bank in advance, so a payment may still be taken after a refund has been requested. We will recalculate any remaining repayments or refunds and make the necessary adjustments to your Argos Monthly Payment Plan account.
If your plan has been closed, the refund amount will be sent to the bank account used to pay the Direct Debit within 30 days. If your Monthly Payment Plan has been closed for more than 12 months we will contact you.
If the products are returned in the first 30 days, we will credit your account with the interest we have applied to your account for the cash price of the item you have returned. If any of the products are returned after the first 30 days, then interest may be applied at our discretion.
If you paid for your order using part Argos Monthly Payment Plan and part Argos Gift Card / Nectar points, the refund will first be applied to reduce the balance under your Argos Monthly Payment Plan. If the refund clears the outstanding balance in full (including any arrears and charges), then any remaining amount will be refunded back to your Argos Gift Card/Nectar account.
If you are due to be refunded to an Argos Gift Card, the original Gift Card used will be credited. If you no longer have the original Gift Card, please call us on 0345 640 2020. If you are due to be refunded Nectar points, these will be credited back to your Nectar account.
