However, if you have Monthly Care, your policy will continue until you cancel it (unless the policy has ended in accordance with our TCs).
If we replace your product or give you vouchers to replace the product yourself, the policy will end immediately.

In the unfortunate event that your mobile phone has been stolen, please report the incident to the police immediately and request a crime reference number. Then you just need to call us on 0800 497 0655 to make a claim.
For mobile phones £100 and over, there will be an excess of between £10 to £100 depending on the purchase price.

HOW DO I BUY ARGOS CARE?
We sell Argos Care at the same time you buy your Argos or Habitat product. When shopping online, you'll see the product insurance options when you add your item to your trolley. Alternatively, you can purchase Argos Care at your nearest store. If you've got something from Argos but are not quite sure if you want product insurance, you've got 45 days from when you bought it to add Argos Care. Just pop into store with your receipt and one of our colleagues will get it sorted for you. Your product will be covered right away. Phew that's a relief.

Once you get your Argos stuff home, you can enjoy using it more knowing it's covered by Argos Electrical Product Care, provided by Domestic & General.

Your statutory rights will not be affected when you buy a policy.
These include the right to claim a refund, repair, or replacement for up to six years (in Scotland it's up to five years after you became aware, or could with reasonable diligence have become aware there was a problem) if your electrical goods were not of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose when they were sold to you.
After the first six months, you will have to prove that the goods had a fault when sold to you.

When your product is broken or damaged accidentally. It could be damage to the whole item, so that it's no longer usable at all, damage to a part of the product so that stops it from working.
We know that sometimes accidents do happen, so Argos Care covers a wide range of items that might get broken in the busy whirl of everyday life.
This is the main benefit of Argos Care compared with the manufacturer's guarantee that may come with your item.
Standard product guarantees tend to only cover faults or breakdowns.
If your item does get damaged accidentally, depending on the insurance policy type, we will either try to fix it, or we'll offer you a brand new replacement, or Argos vouchers to buy a replacement.
We'll cover many of the items not covered by your standard manufacturer's guarantee, including both parts and labour (although some exclusions apply). If you've got an extended parts guarantee as standard with your item, then we'll cover the labour only.
If you've got Replacement Care, we'll just replace your item instantly. No fuss.
You can cancel Argos Care anytime you like during the policy term, but you'll only get a full refund if you cancel within a certain number of days from when you purchased your policy.

Within 45-days 'cooling off period' – you'll get a full refund if no claims have been made. After the 45 day 'cooling off period' – you'll get a pro rata refund (so we'll refund you the remaining months on your policy) if no claims have been made.
